“Faiths Together in Croydon” (FTiC) recognises the need to encourage and promote the knowledge, understanding and respect of the beliefs and practices of religious faiths and denominations and further, recognises their unique characteristics and respects common ground among the different communities.    PEACE Positively Embracing All Citizens Equally.

Objective

The objective of FTiC is to promote co-operation and foster understanding between the faith groups in the wider community of Croydon and its environs.

Purpose and Aims

The purpose and aims of FTiC are to:

  • Assist liaison and understanding between the faith communities of Croydon.
  • Work with the residents of Croydon, statutory authorities, private and voluntary sectors in a common effort to improve the condition of life for people in the area.
  • Provide forums where faith communities, their organizations and their leaders can engage in dialogue and exchange information including ways in which to promote social inclusion.
Membership

Membership is open to individuals of all faith groups within the Croydon area, who are sympathetic to the aims of the association. Associate membership may be available, at the discretion of the committee.

Committee Members

The Committee will be made up of those from the local faith communities who will work to promote the aims and objectives of FTiC within their broad faith community.
