On Saturday 22nd October there was a celebration of Diwali in central Croydon. Organised by the Hindu Council of Croydon there was five hours of singing, traditional dancing from many parts of India and general entertainment which the crowds all thoroughly enjoyed. There were also stalls selling Hindu items and, of course, some delicious food.
Well done to the Chair of the Hindu Council, Mayura Patel, and her team for a fantastic afternoon of celebration.
