Croydon Mayor's EID Get Together
"I have never seen before the need for interfaith commitment in the world been nearly as great as it is at this very moment, Imagine what we could build Together if we used Humanity, Faith, Hope and Love as our building materials to establish universal peace.
It is realising these commitments of promoting interfaith and peace Hon. Bernadette Khan Croydon Mayor hosted a reception for all faiths to attend the EID get together reception at Croydon Town Hall last Thursday 25/10/2018. In the event Hon.Deputy Mayor Humayun Kabir, Councillors Manju Shahul-Hameed, Niro Siri, with numerous community leaders and faith heads attended to show their commitment to interfaith activities in the Croydon borough. I along with WHD Seceratary General Sharon Pilling, Elango Jayaseelan and our youth team members participated in the event to show our strong support to interfaith festivals. WHD Youth team was thrilled by the overall event as it created a platform for them to be a volunteer and youth role models within the borough and beyond."
“All religions all the singing is one song. The differences are just illusion and vanity. The sun’s light looks a different on this wall than it does on that wall and a lot different on this other one, but it’s still one light”
