Interfaith Event with Local Schools Organised by Faith Together in Croydon

In interfaith week 2021 back in November 2021 Faith Together in Croydon organised a virtual event. A totaloAf nine primary and secondary schools participated with performances by children .

From Noah’s Ark to Prophet’s Muhammad (PBUH) and Jesus life and symbols and teachings, and Jewish celebrations performed by participating schools.  Children observed prayers for peace and talked about their beliefs and how religion helps them to understand peace and live together.

Miss John, the Head of RE at Oasis Academy School, Father Alan Bayes from Whitgift School and Parahat Akmuradov from the Dialogue Society coordinated the event and thanked every single school that contributed.

Miss John said: “It has been my absolute pleasure to participate in and enjoy the presentations from our Schools Interfaith conference. You have all been amazing and I hope we can work together again very soon. A special thanks at this stage must go out to the teachers and staff involved in organising the different activities and the students who have presented with such confidence passion and professionalism”
